Reels can now be scheduled within the Creator Studio. Using Meta’s Creator Studio, you can now schedule in ‘Reels’ within the ‘Videos’ tab, just like you can for photos and stories! Having this feature will save you time and make planning much easier.
Instagram is continuing to focus more on video content with ‘Reels’ to become more like TikTok, moving more and more away from photos and closer to video led content.
Reels features now have in app templates. This makes it easier to create Reel videos and for users to stay in the app while creating content.
“Dual” feature is being rolled out to Reels – taking inspiration from an upcoming app called ‘BeReal’ using your front and back camera to take photos at the same time. Instagram is also trying to keep up with the competition by sending notifications to users to tell them when to post (More about ‘BeReal’ below)
24-hour stories that vanish after 1 day are being rolled out on the platform and users will also be able to be share to other platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
New ‘nearby’ feature is being tested within TikTok’s feed – using location tracking to help users find local content and the ability to add location tags to your content. This could help brands with more localised marketing.
