Well-managed businesses 'will survive' PDF Print
ImageWell-managed businesses will succeed in the current economic climate, it has been claimed.

According to the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), recession tests people's management skills and those who cope well will be successful despite the slowdown.

The BCC's economic advisor Davis Kern said that it was more challenging for managers as they have to cope with a different environment but added: "Life goes on and there seems to be a perception that this is the end of life and that is totally ludicrous."

Mr Kern also stated that it is very important that people do not focus too much on doom and gloom at the moment, noting that economic activity is declining but people still need to buy and eat and carry on with their lives.

It was previously reported by insurance firm RSA that many small businesses are struggling to operate, with 11 per cent of those questioned by the company admitting they can no longer afford to run.
