Energy and enthusiasm 'can help colleagues in credit crunch' PDF Print
ImageEmployees need to be energetic and enthusiastic to help colleagues through the current economic uncertainty, according to T-Mobile.

Julia Porter-Robinson, HR senior recruitment manager at T-Mobile, said an injection of energy can be welcomed by employees.

The recent Workplace Motivation Report by T-Mobile found that someone with a Davina McCall level of enthusiasm is needed to lift the workplace.

It also revealed that a David Brent-style joker was the most undesirable.

Ms Robinson added it could be particularly helpful when it may seem there is "more challenges than reasons to celebrate".

She warned, however, that some humour may not be welcomed in difficult times as it can be "very subjective".

"We all know that people have very different views about what is or isn’t funny! This will never change," she said.

A recent survey by the Trades Union Congress found that six million workers in the UK are not satisfied with their job.
