Employee screening 'far easier due to technology' PDF Print
ImageIt has become "far easier" to screen employees, according to a leading company in the field.

Screening firm Datanomic has said that monitoring staff and also suppliers could become "general procedure" as the technology behind the process has made it "far easier to systematically trawl through large volumes of data".

In news which may interest people looking for instructors, he added that data including first name, middle name, last name, middle initial, date of birth, nationality and location can all be triangulated against government databases.

Simon Pearson, director of client screening for Datanomic, said: "What it is about technology that has made screening easy is that its sophisticated and very powerful data preparation, the capability to take care of translation and transliteration, spelling mistakes and typos and everything else, and extremely deep software algorithms can deal with fuzzy matching."

Fellow firm Enterprise Screening has said that employee checks will become "standard practise" for large organisations over the next three years.
