Diverse businesses 'making the nation richer' PDF Print
ImageThe establishment of an increasingly diverse array of businesses in the UK is helping the nation become richer it has been claimed.

Research conducted by Natwest and the Cass Business School shows that there is a new "enriched List" in the UK which features a group which rates personal and career fulfilment as highly as financial success.

According to the study, these individuals are setting up a diverse range of companies.

Professor Scott Moeller from Cass Business School and Simon Hopes, head of regional operations at Natwest Private Banking, have stated that a growing number of individuals are taking control of their own careers and carving a "niche for themselves".

Mr Hopes added: "We see a lot of people who are increasingly looking for special avenues for their own skills. The introduction of IT, for example, and the progression of skills in that sector mean that people find it easy to set up on their own".
