Web host can create 'a more professional and secure website' PDF Print
ImageBusinesses can have a more professional and secure website by opting for a web host, according to an industry expert.

Tim Danton, editor of PC Pro magazine, said that companies could get a more "responsive" and "professional" website if they use specialists instead of attempting to do it themselves.

He added that industry professionals can help businesses to encrypt sensitive data and store information securely.

Mr Danton continued to say that companies need to ensure that there is a backup of all data to be used in the instance of an "IT disaster".

"Any business that depends on its website to deliver to and inform customers should generally opt for a web host rather than doing it themselves," he added.

Gary Bunker, chief scientist at internet security firm Symantec, recently warned that some businesses can forget about "how important" their websites are and "overlook" the need for disaster recovery plans.
