A new website is allowing people to rate the employers they have worked for.WorkRewired.com allows employees to anonymously leave reviews on how they felt to be inside a company. Job seekers are also able to use the site to check information on what people have said about prospective employers. Online Recruitment reports that the founder of the website, Greig Harper, devised the idea after some job offers he had received "hadn't turned out as expected". Speaking about his site, Mr Greig said: "We're spending a considerable part of our lives at work so it's important we find places we enjoy working and employers who can support and develop our career." The general secretary of the Trade Union Congress, Brendan Barber, recently said that the national minimum wage should be increased. It follows figures released by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation which found that a single person in the UK needs to earn at least £13,400 a year before tax to afford a "basic but acceptable standard of living". ![]() |
