Online job boards are failing to provide small and medium-sized employers (SMEs) with enough information.New research from whatjobsite.com found that over 50 per cent of job boards provided little or no information about their candidate audience, according to HR Zone. Around 50 per cent of boards failed to give enough information about the cost of its advertising products and over 25 per cent failed to provide essential information such as the company name on its sites. Karl Schweppe, managing director of whatjobsite.com, said: "Employers need to be able to feel confident about choosing a job board. "For this, they must be able to answer the most basic questions about a site like is it a legitimate business? Where is it located? What is its company registration number?" Earlier this month jobs site CareerBuilder.com teamed up with Facebook to run recruitment campaigns on the social networking site. Specialised recruiting adverts will promote CareerBuilder within a specially developed part of the Facebook site, with the view of attracting specific types of job seekers ![]() |
