Best personalised marketing techniques revealed PDF Print
ImageEmails and pieces of direct mail are the best personalised marketing techniques to use, according to a new study.

Sending targeted emails and literature to a group of clients can prove more effective than other marketing methods, the latest CMO Council report suggests.

Some 66 per cent of firms said that reaching their target market is easier with individualised emails and letters.

A further 46.5 per cent said opt-in, permission-based marketing initiatives help them reach potential customers and 43.5 per cent said targeted database marketing using personal profiles is best.

Overall, marketers believe email campaigns present the best opportunity to use personalised strategies, closely followed by web-content programs.

Marketing experts also told the CMO Council that the main benefit of sending personalised messages to targeted customers is the prospect of building a closer relationship which in turn improves the profile of the entire business.
