  • Gerard Turvey

    (Managing Director)

    Gerard has been an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers for 30 years. Throughout his career he has held various senior positions in both private and public companies, including those of Finance Director, Director of Information Technology and Director of Customer Service.
     
    Gerard, who has a MA in Customer Service Management from Nottingham Trent University, has written and lectured on the subjects of customer service and business planning. Prior to his work advising martial arts businesses he was teaching and consulting at a number of companies.


    He has trained in Wado Ryu karate since the early 90's, starting at the age of 40, and now holds a second degree black belt. He is also a Freeman of the City of London and sits on the awarding committee for one of the oldest City Guilds.

     

  • Joy Turvey

    (Director)

    Joy started her working life in an accountant's office swiftly moving up to Senior Partners PA. Following this, a change in direction was decided upon resulting in stints working in the worlds of retail, travel (including the pioneering Laker Airlines) and the service industries.

    Joy is a strong believer in delivering the best possible customer service in the industry - something which she believes the whole team achieve.
    In her spare time Joy loves entertaining, sewing, cooking, gardening and interior design.

  • Chris Leeming

    (IT Financial Specialist)

    Chris is your first port of call for any IT issues. Formerly an IT manager and software developer for a major independent accountancy practice, he brings with him experience with computerised accounts systems including the Sage.

    His background in developing custom financial software ensures that he is ideally suited to develop and maintain NEST's Direct Debit systems as well as developing the online products that separate NEST from the pack.

    In his spare time, Chris enjoys hiking, cooking and of course, fiddling with computers.

  • Brian Stewart

    (IT Systems Specialist)

    Brian has an extensive background in web development, web design and Information Management, having worked for WebFusion Web Hosting (Pipex), Dollar Financial, Sema and Chase Action Group (Computer Learning Courses) during his IT career.


    Brian has a degree in Business Information Management from Leeds University and also possesses the Certificate in CIW (Advanced Certified Internet WebMaster / Developer).

    A former Wing Chun Kung Fu Practitioner, Brian’s interests include Entertainment Technology (Hi Fi & Home Cinema), travel, sports & arts such as Formula 1, Wing Chun and Tai Chi.

  • Jonathon Turvey

    (Sales & Project Assistant)

    Jonathon is the youngest member of the NEST team and joined us midway through 2007 after successfully completing a college course in Sports Leadership.

    He is currently studying Business Management at college and enjoys putting his new found skills into practice as he works on a number of business related projects for NEST.

    In his spare time, Jonathon trains regularly in Sports Karate and with his previous experience in the automotive industry, he still enjoys ‘tinkering’ with cars

  • Louisa Turchet

    (Customer Services Team)

    Louisa flew back to the NEST Management Customer Services Team in 2007 to help us manage our growing client base.

    This followed a 4 year stint abroad, where she travelled extensively, working in ski resorts in both Italy and Colorado and spent 2 years in Rome working as an Events Management Executive.

    Louisa spent a year with NEST back in 2002, helping the business to get off the ground and possesses a degree in Business & Italian and the CIM certificate

  • Corinna England

    (Customer Services Team)

    Corinna began her customer care career training as a nurse, ensuring her patients had the best care possible. She became a Midwife and then Operating Theatre manager, with responsibility for maintaining the highest quality standards of patient care.

    Working as part of a close knit team proved an invaluable experience and enabled her to transfer these skills to the customer service team at NEST.

    Corinna's other passion's are Crafts and Bell ringing - she met her husband whilst ringing a peal!

  • Sam Thompson

    (Customer Services Team)

    Sam graduated from Leicester De Montfort University in July 2008 with a BA Honours degree in Interior design.

    She started working at NEST part time in July 2007, after spending 5 years with the Co-Op working as a Sales Assistant and Sam is enthusiastic about delivering excellent customer service to our school owners, instructors and their students.

     

    Her hobbies include dancing, swimming, reading, watching films and music.  Sam also confesses to having a very sweet tooth!

  • Hendrie Jooste

    (Customer Services Team)

    Hendrie joined the NEST team in June 2008. His customer service career spans over 10 years and began in his native South Africa. He came to the UK in May 2006 and worked for Capital One at the Nottingham Call Centre.


    He progressed through a number of sales advisor and customer services roles in the personal loans and credit card departments before spending over a year in the Executive Response Centre, where he was responsible for training new staff.


    Hendrie enjoys listening to music and plays guitar in a local band.

  • Edward Turvey

    (Media Production professional)

    After finishing a media production college course in 2006, Eddie began working for BBC Radio Nottingham before moving into BBC TV News a year later to work as a camera operator.

    He has been busy putting his new found skills and experience into practice through filming, editing and producing a number of DVD products for NEST and our clients

  • Dean Lale

    (Business to Business (B2B) Marketing Consultant)

    Dean has over 14 years marketing experience across a diverse range of industries and his role is to help NEST bring in more new customers.

    A fully qualified member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (C.I.M.), Dean attained 'Chartered Marketer' status back in July 2000.

    He holds the C.I.M.’s highest professional marketing qualification (Diploma in Marketing) and has a BSc Honours Degree in Business Management Studies.

    Dean is always willing to offer help and guidance on any marketing & promotional campaigns clients may undertake.
